“My heart is at ease knowing that, what was meant for me will never miss me, and that what misses me was never meant for me.”- Umar Ibn Khattab
The breath… the very action that supports our lives. We all experience the familiar periods of expansion and contraction; taking in all that sustains us and releasing all of which ceases to serve a purpose in our present moment. Like breathing, there exists an organic rhythm to our lives. Through choices and conceivably fate, our realities are in a constant pulse of extension and expulsion and much like breathing, this happens often without much thought or awareness. We allow people, emotions, or things into our lives and surrender, like an exhale, all of those that have become of no use to our next period of expansion. There is no life without breath and so too there is a lack of flow to our lives when we refuse to allow ourselves to take in all that is most essential to our evolution as an individual and release what prevents us from propelling forward.
Are you holding on too tightly to something that needs to be released? If so, allow yourself to give into the rhythm of life and exhale.
